Kroger Coupon Policy

kroger logoWhen shopping at a grocery store, you should always know the store coupon policy. If stores ever give you any grief over coupons, it’s a good idea to print store coupon policies and carry them with you. Below you will find the Kroger Coupon Policy (you can view the original Kroger coupon policy online):

Double Coupons: Manufacturer coupons of $.50 or less will be “Doubled”. Manufacturer coupons over $.51 will be redeemed at face value. This Does Not apply to “Free”, Kroger, Retail Food Store coupons, Electronic Coupons on the Kroger Plus Card, or items prohibited by law.

Pharmacy Coupons: Kroger does accept competitor Pharmacy Coupons. Cannot use LCM or competitor coupons in conjunction with the $4 generic program.

General Coupon Policy: Limit one (1) manufacturer coupon per item purchased. Limit one (1) store coupon per item purchased. One (1) manufacturer and One (1) store coupon can be used on the same item. Coupons cannot be used on “Free” items. Does Not accept coupons that are expired. Amount refunded cannot exceed the cost of the item. The store manager has the right to accept, decline, or limit the use of ANY coupon upon view. The store manager has the right to limit the Quantity of coupons/items used/purchased in a single transaction, by a single customer, or in a single day Customer is responsible for tax on all items even “Free” items.

Digital Coupons: Load electronic coupons onto your Plus card with Cellfire or Shortcuts. Remember, coupons are limited to one per item. Digital coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item.

Senior Citizen’s Day: Every Tuesday is Senior Citizen’s Day. Every person born from 1954 or later will receive 5% off their total bill on Tuesday!

Additional Kroger coupon policy notes:

  • We can only accept print-at-home coupons if they scan properly at checkout. Legitimate printable coupons are delivered using special software designed to print a properly rendered barcode on the coupon and limit the number of coupons printed.
  • We will generally not accept “FREE product” (no purchase required) print-at-home coupons. It is currently an industry practice not to produce print-at-home manufacturer’s coupons for free product. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable.
  • We will usually not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value. For example, a $2 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5 or more, but a $2 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate. If there are exceptions, we are usually provided advance notice by the manufacturer.
  • Coupons will be rejected if they appear distorted or blurry, altered in any way, or are obvious duplicates. You should always print the coupon yourself directly from the website or email that is offering it. Only then can you ensure you are printing a legitimate coupon. The coupon will never appear on your computer screen. A legitimate coupon is never sent as a graphic or PDF or sent in a Word document.
