Sooo.. I Forgot to Mention I’m Back :)

Yep, I am back home in my cozy little West Virginia home. (We’ve been home since Sunday actually but I’m a slacker and forgot to mention it.) Our vacation was absolutely wonderful. It was so nice to see all of my family again. We spent hours boating, fishing, and eating. I love big ol’ family cookouts!

One of the best things about Illinois though is the sweet corn. OMG it is to die for. My aunt and uncle called me as we were leaving for our 12-hour drive home and offered up 3 dozen ears of genuine Illinois goodness to bring back to the land of mediocre corn. YAY! (Should I mention that my husband ate 5 ears of corn the day we got home?)

My newest adventure.. Football.

It’s that time of year again! Football season!! (I’m a huge football fan if you didn’t know .) My 7-year-old played two years of flag football but this year he has moved on to pee-wee tackle football. Just like the NFL except the mini-me version. So I’m super excited for his games to start but here’s the bad part: he practices 3-4 times per week. Plus other random events shoved in throughout the week. And I have to drag my 2-year-old with me. Oh.. and the practices are 2 hours+ in length. You feel me? Yeah.. not fun.
