Although Christmas has come and gone, I'm always in the market for new recipes that I can use next year.  It gives me a chance to try them out before the actual holiday.  As for the crafts, with my schedule, sometimes, it takes me a while to complete a project.  Thanks for the ideas.

Loved this post, so many great ideas! Our family plays a game each year called "yankee swap" in which each person brings a small inexpensive gift, (often humorous ones, or ones that we know others will wanna fight for) and we each draw a number from 1 to whatever the amount of folks are playing, the person who gets #1 is the luckiest as they get to pick from all gifts last, but basically first person chooses a gift to open, then the 2nd person chooses a gift, that person can then decided to keep it or take #1's gift, then 3rd person opens gift and can now decide to keep it or take #1' or #2's gift, and so on and so on..then because #1 didn't initially get to 'swap' that person can at the end keep what they ended up with, or choose to swap out from any of the others gifts..it leads to lots of laughter and good hearted playful swapping/fighting for the gift you want..lots of fun..and everyone has a great time..don't know if this is considered meaningful..but it means a lot in my family tradition..
