This past November 4th marks the 25th anniversary of the Energizer annual Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program. Energizer and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) have once again worked with local fire departments nationwide to raise awareness on the importance of working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in cyccybhelping to keep families safe in their homes. 38% of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24% occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries. Wow!

If you haven’t already, or just forgot, remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. The easiest way to remember is to do it when you turn the clock back – it could help save a life! Don’t forget to check out the Energizer Fire Safety Info tab on Facebook for fire safety tips, an escape grid, and fun activities for kids.

I realized i left out a letter on my email address when I started submitting entries.  I put jlcalwe instead of jlcaldwe.  I think I made it mad when i tried to fix it.  Sorry!

I did not. My units beep when the batteries are low, I change them at that point.

I never remember this one.  We don't change our clocks in Arizona, and our smoke and CO2 detectors are wired into the house power.  They might have batteries (in case of power outage), but... I can't reach them =(  I'll ask the hubs.  Thanks for the reminder!
